About Us
The Alliance leads New York City’s mission to end sexual violence through education, training and technical assistance, prevention programming, research, and advocacy for policy change. In 2024, we benefited 3,500+ community members who impact thousands of survivors annually across all five boroughs. We pursue our mission by centering those most impacted by sexual violence, working through an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens. We prioritize working with those who are historically underserved, including BIPOC, immigrant, low-income, and LGBTQ+ communities. The Alliance was founded in 1999 by a coalition of rape crisis programs. We continue to be the only organization leading a coordinated response to sexual violence in NYC. Until we end sexual violence in all forms, we are here for all survivors and the organizations that serve them.

All people deserve to live free from sexual violence.
