On-site teams consisting of child protective specialists, detectives from NYPD, assistant district attorneys, and pediatricians meet the needs of child abuse survivors by addressing their safety, tending to their physical injuries, and bringing abusers to justice.

**Child abuse must be reported to the NYS Child Abuse Services or NYPD before referral to Child Advocacy Centers.

  • Parent Helpline (1-800-244-5373): staff will help locate services such as parenting skills classes, domestic violence services, or childcare

  • Healthy Families NY Home Visiting Program (free): specially-trained staff visit the homes of high-risk families of infants and young children. Staff assess children for developmental milestones, provide parents with childcare information, and connect families with medical providers.

  • Team HOPE: trained volunteers help people in crisis with a missing or sexually exploited child, provide peer and emotional support, etc.

  • Cyber Tipline (1-800-843-5678): centralized reporting system for the online sexual exploitation of children. Staff work with local law enforcement to remove the child sexual abuse material.
